Welcome, and thank you for visiting me on the web. My name is LuAnn
Ferguson and I am the Relational Minister at St. John. God has given each of
us gifts to share with others for His glory. My role is to help connect people
to the ministries and special interests where they have a passion to serve. We
support about 80 ministries through the active participation of those who
worship at St. John, and supporting these ministries truly gives each of us a
purposeful existence.
Members and visitors are welcome to get involved with any ministry we offer
through St. John. Each ministry is led by a shepherd who focuses on keeping
that ministry vibrant and relevant. I encourage people to choose one, two, or
three ministries that really interest them. How many they choose depends on
the time they have available. Some people have been given a heart for outreach
and missions. Others received from God a talent for serving. Still others
enjoy sharing their gifts in worship support as acolytes, lectors, ushers,
greeters, or communion servers.
God has given each of us something special to share with others, and when
we realize our gifts, we grow in His grace. Some prefer to be front and center
with children, youth, or music. Some prefer to be behind-the-scenes with
office support, media ministry, or property maintenance. All of our talents
are gifts from God.
In addition to ministry support, I spend time with new members and those
who are inquiring about Christianity in general and being a Lutheran
Christian. I welcome questions and suggestions from members and visitors. I
also work alongside the Small Group Equippers and am the staff liaison for
Small Group Ministries. If I can be of assistance to you in any way, please
let me know.
Wherever your interests lie, there is a ministry that can fuel your passion
and allow you to use the gifts God has given to you.
