Many special things are happening with the Children’s Choir ministry at St.
John. We have two rehearsals each week during the school year. This past year,
the rehearsals were on Tuesday evenings. This coming year, our rehearsals will
return to Wednesday evenings. Children from kindergarten through fifth grade
are invited to participate.
Our activities on Wednesday include vocal, instruments, and rhythmic
musical experiences. We also enjoy fellowship. Our goal is to become familiar
with the music of the different seasons and celebrations of the church year.
We then provide music for one church service each month, alternating between
the three morning services. In addition to this, we also provide music for the
children’s Christmas Eve service, and perform an end of the year musical
program for the church family.
We especially enjoy playing instrumental parts with our vocal music and are
looking forward to singing and playing new music next year!
I am thankful to all the children and parents who support our children’s
choirs. I am looking forward to another super music year at St. John!
