In June 2001, Pastor Dave Delaney resigned as Associate Pastor to accept the position of Director for Youth and Young Adult Ministries with the Virginia Synod.  In July, a group went on a mission trip to the Bruderhof in Pennsylvania.  That fall, in November, a group went on a mission trip to Merida, Mexico.  The new ChristCare small group ministry began in the fall as well as the new Alpha ministry.  The church website was redesigned and the new version released on Easter weekend.  Fundraising for the new building addition began.

The groundbreaking for the new building was May 12th.  The new addition more than doubled the total available space.  It included a Great Room, Youth Center, new classrooms, and shower facilities for the Interfaith Hospitality Network guests.  We had a 16-week focus on the Sermon on the Mount in the fall.  A new missions ministry team began.  Pastors Scott and Cathy Mims came on staff October 1st as Associate Pastors.  Mike Agee came on staff as our Church Administrator.  Total membership exceeded 1000 for the first time.

 2003

The building dedication was May 21st.  By fall, the entire facility was being fully utilized.  Pastor Mark's doctorate of ministry was completed from Columbia Theological Seminary in May.  A group of members went on a mission trip to the Living Waters in August.  In July, Lauren Wardach came on staff as our Minister of Christian Education.  In the fall, Kim Mucha came on staff as our Associate Minister of Music for the contemporary worship services.

 2004

A new contemporary service began in April, held concurrently with the traditional 11:00 worship service.  The Youth went on a mission trip to Marvell, Arkansas in July.  The adults went on a mission trip to Ecuador over Thanksgiving.

2005

In the spring, Tina Hatcher was hired as our new Minister of Relational Ministries.  The new parking lot was completed in time for the Easter services. In July, Gerry McDermott was hired as our Teaching Pastor.   The youth went on a summer mission trip to Queens, NY.  The adults went on a mission trip to Honduras in August.  Lucy Finn was hired as our new full-time secretary.
