DivorceCare

DivorceCare is a 3-month support group program with weekly meetings designed to help you rebuild your life and recover from one of life’s most difficult circumstances. A new seminar is starting Wednesday, March 10 from 6:30-8:30 pm. There is no charge for the course, but participants should register in advance to ensure materials will be available. The discussions and support groups are led by people who understand the pain and confusion of divorce and want to help. Anyone experiencing divorce is encouraged to attend this seminar. The DivorceCare curriculum comes from Church Initiative http://www.churchinitiative.org/ . Shepherds:: Les and Marilyn Hagie

Financial Peace

FPU a life-changing program developed by Dave Ramsey that teaches you how to get rid of your debt burden, live within your means, and build wealth. The class teaches the practical skills and boosts your confidence to a level where you can experience true financial peace. In 13 weekly classes, you’ll watch engaging and entertaining informational videos and participate in groups that will change how you view money. The real beauty of FPU is that 80% of it involves changing your behavior and breaking the bad habits that steal your ability to achieve financial peace. Click here to add your name on the waiting list for the next class.

Prayer

Every Wednesday at noon, a group of dedicated people gather to pray for the needs of the church and for our community. The Healing Service is held the first Wednesday of each month, where prayer is a major emphasis. Everyone is welcome to participate. Intercessory prayer partners meet with members during Communion to share private prayer concerns. Prayer requests to heal, console, praise, give thanks, and support are sent daily. Shepherd: Carole Dow

Stephen Ministry

As an extension of pastoral care, Stephen Ministers complete more than 50 hours of initial training followed by monthly continuing education programs to care for individuals who are experiencing crisis or transition in life. These ministers are trained in topics such as listening, feelings, boundaries, assertiveness, confidentiality, and the use of Christian resources in care giving. Specialized topics prepare them to minister to the divorced, bereaved and aging. This one-to-one caring ministry strives to provide the very best Christian care possible in a confidential and supportive environment. Shepherd: Ben Graham
