The Worship and Music Ministry Team provides overall guidance and leadership to promote and encourage the  worship life of the congregation.

The following list of worship ministries fall under the umbrella of the Worship and Music Ministry.  These ministries are all staffed by volunteers and training for each function is provided.

Acolytes are usually youth who light the candles at the altar before each liturgical worship service and extinguish them after each service.  For those in 6th grade through adults; training is provided and should be arranged prior to the first assigned Sunday.

Nursery Assistant:

Along with the nursery staff person, provide care for infants through four years old during worship time.  Need both adults and youth in 6th grade or older.

W.O.W. – Worship Outreach To The World Ministry:

Team members provide audiotapes of entire worship services and MP3 files of Bible readings and sermons to shut-ins and others who wish to listen again to a specific sermon. This ministry is also meaningful for those to whom a particular service has special significance (baptism, reception into membership, First Communion, Confirmation, etc.). The MP3 files can be emailed by members to family and friends all over the world – hence the name W.O.W.  You can find the W.O.W. link on the homepage under "Downloads."   Training is provided for each of the varied tasks, which include recording services, duplicating tapes, producing MP3 files, and preparing them for distribution and database storage.

Ushers:

Ushers help direct people before, during and after the worship services.  They distribute worship bulletins; gather offerings; direct worshippers at communion time; clean up the sanctuary following worship; children may sign up with their parents.
