Inquirer's Seminar:
This seminar is held
quarterly on a Saturday morning. Members help prepare material for
the class and/or set up the fellowship hall and breakfast pastries for
participants.
New Member Sponsor:
Sponsors offer
friendship and support to people joining our community of faith.
They attend the new member potluck with the new member(s) and stand with
them during the worship service when they join. The sponsor is a
resource for the new members about St. John by introducing them to other
members, inviting and encouraging them to be active participants in the
life of this congregation. Guidelines are provided.
New Member Dinner
Support:
Dinners are held
quarterly on a Thursday evening at 6:30. The support team helps
set up the fellowship hall, prepares coffee and other liquid
refreshments, sets up the buffet line and dinnerware for the
potluck. You may also stay for the dinner, welcome new members and
oversee cleanup of the kitchen and fellowship hall.
New Member Welcome
Bags:
Done quarterly.
Come into the office the week before the new members join and put
together bags with both printed material and small welcome gifts.
All materials are provided by the office for you to complete this
project.
