Lisa was raised in a small town in central Pennsylvania by Christian parents who both taught and modeled a personal, vibrant relationship with Christ. She attended the University of Pittsburgh where she also ran track and worked in the football office. After receiving her B.S. degree in Psychology, she pursued her MBA in Finance/Accounting and met her husband, Rich, in the same program.
Over the years, her work experience has been varied and has included positions such as: Financial Analyst, Marketing Coordinator for a non-profit, Academic Core Advisor, Buyer/Accounting Associate for a Christian bookstore and Church Pianist. However, she values her years as a Teaching Leader for Bible Study Fellowship the most as it brought her closer to the Lord through the study of His Word. It’s her passion and commitment to ask Him to continue to grow her spiritually and to teach Bible studies and lead groups wherever He provides the opportunity.
The verse that probably comes to mind the most frequently for her is James 1:5: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
Lisa and Rich have two adult sons, Austin and Evan, and a daughter, Annie, who is active in the St. John youth group. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sports, exercising and traveling.
