Learning

Crossroads on Wednesdays

Wednesday is family night at St. John! There is something for everyone. The entire building is alive with people of all ages! Join us for a delicious meal Wednesday evenings beginning in September and running through Lent. Dinner begins at 5 pm. The Children's Choir begins rehearsal at 5:45 pm. Classes for all ages follow at 6 pm.  There are a variety of learning opportunities throughout the Crossroads season.

The Nursery is available so parents of young children can attend a bible study, worship or a class. The evening wraps up for children by 8 pm. During Advent and Lent, we have a worship service at 7 pm in the Sanctuary.

During Lent, we offer Lenten soup suppers where various ministries are invited to bring a crock pot of soup to share. Check the calendar for the current list of Crossroad offerings.

Sunday School

From age three through adult, there are opportunities to know God’s Word more intimately. Classes are offered Sundays from 9:45-10:45 with age appropriate lessons.

Adults meet in one of three Community Groups that are designated primarily by geographic area. The three pastors rotate among the three classes during the year with specific scripture lessons.

Youth have three class options along with Confirmation. Classes designated by grade level are available for children age 3 through 5th grade.

Community Group Sunday School

With a growing adult membership, a great way to get to know others is to spend time with them in community. Our Community Group Sunday School format keeps a group together throughout the year studying the New Testament and also encourages social activities outside the classroom. The three pastors rotate among the groups focusing on books of the New Testament. Groups are arranged geographically and you can sign up online.

Vacation Bible School

Our Vacation Bible School is typically held the third week in June in the evenings for ages5 - Adult! The children ages 5 - Rising 5th Graders engage in a theme-based Bible study where activities, music, crafts and drama are woven together to form a memorable learning experience. Also gathering during this time are middle school, high school and adults to share in a time of interactive learning.
