Mission Endowment Fund
The St. John Mission endowment fund was established in 2000 for the express purpose of enhancing the mission outreach of the congregation. The principle amount of gifts and bequests to the fund are retained inside of the fund. After an initial base amount of $100,000 is reached, all income from the fund is distributed annually and at such other times as deemed necessary or feasible. The fund was authorized by a formal Resolution and Amendment to the Congregational Bylaws. This document legally defines the fund, its purpose, limitations, and contingencies and is available for review in the church office. All distributions from the Fund are used for outreach ministries, with no portion being used for the congregation’s operating budget or capital projects. Shepherd: Mike

Stewardship
“The earth is the Lord’s and everything in it the world, and all who live in it” Psalm 24; 1
We are called to be good stewards of all that has been provided to us. This includes our time, our talents, our finances, as well as the world around us. The people of St. John are called to take this obligation seriously. The annual financial pledge campaign provides the financial underpinnings for the ministries of the congregation. However, the annual spending plan is not tied to the results of the pledge campaign. God has always, and will always continue to provide for our needs.
Annual time and talent fairs call on the congregation to give of themselves beyond their financial resources. The Apostle Paul called on everyone to utilize their God-given talents for the building up of the Body. We need the participation of everyone in order to become what God has in store for us.
The Creation Care ministry at St. John is focused on the proper stewardship of the world around us. This ministry, through education, recycling, and monitoring is dedicated to minimizing the resources that are used within the congregation. Shepherd: Charlie Ross
