ages. It begins on Wednesday, September 17.
The evening begins with a dinner served in
the Cafe' St. John from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and is followed by educational
opportunities for adults, youth, and
children. By 8:00 p.m.

experienced a delicious dinner and a time of fellowship, fun,
learning, and worship.
Reservations need to be made for the dinner. Please
sign up, using the bulletin insert, or call the church office by Monday

looking for more adult help as we continue to provide a place of safety
and excitement for these young disciples!! You can find us in The Kings

Love and Respect marriage class September 17th—December 17th.
Hoping to keep your marriage strong? Looking to rekindle your marriage?
Young couples, old couples, and those hoping to one day be a couple will
benefit from this class, which looks at one of the most important
aspects of marriage—communication. The class is based on the book by Dr.
Emerson Eggerichs. Each session will contain a DVD segment and
discussion time. The class meets 6:45—8:00 p.m. (Room 216)
Theology of the Body class September 17th—November 5th. In
this momentous teaching, Pope John Paul II shares a breathtaking
theological vision focused on the mystery of love extending from the
Trinity, through Christ’s spousal relation with the Church, to the
concrete bodies of men and women. This seminal work also focuses on the
bodily dimension of human personhood, sexuality, marriage, and celibacy.
We will be watching a video series by Christopher West, a very popular
teacher of “Theology of the Body” followed by time for class discussion.

The Inquirer’s Seminar: Examining the Basics of Lutheran
Christianity. Are you interested in exploring more seriously if St.
John might be the right church home for you? Would you like a forum to
learn about Lutheran Christian theology, history, and practice? Would
you find it enjoyable to hear more about the ways in which we go about
faith here in this congregation—our priorities, beliefs, and values? If
you answer “yes” (or even a “maybe!”) to any of these, please join us
beginning Wednesday, October 8th at 6:45 p.m. for our next offering of
the Inquirer’s Seminar. This seven-week course, set in the context of
our overall Crossroads mid-week ministry event, will present the basics
of life and faith we hold to at St. John. It’s also a great way to meet
others on this same journey of exploration.
Financial Peace University—13 weeks to Financial Freedom. FPU

counselor, Dave Ramsey. It’s a life-changing program that empowers and
teaches you how to make the right money decisions to achieve your
financial goals and God's plan for your life. The course includes
practical lessons on eliminating debt, building wealth, giving like
never before, and much, much more!
