Every summer, Children's Ministry
hosts a themed Vacation
Bible School
as part of EPIC week (Experiencing
Passion in Christ.) This is an exciting weeklong event in which certain stories
and people of the Bible are examined and explored to teach important Scriptural
truths.
- The
children are exposed to the love of Christ through the theme Bible
stories.
- Small
groups of children, each with their own guide, travel to Crafts, Recreation and
Missions Stations to help them apply the Bible point
- Every year, a service
project and missions goal are chosen. Excitement builds throughout the
week as teams of children compete to bring in the most items to support
the service project and advance
the missions goal.
- A
reasonably priced dinner is offered so that families and new friends can
meet.
Community Easter Party
On the Saturday before Easter (this year April 7, 2012), our
community is invited to come and hear the resurrection story! The good news of Jesus rising from the dead
to save all sinners is shared in an opening dramatic presentation, crafts,
games, and live animals. Special Easter
egg hunts by age are offered as over 600 eggs filled with candy are discovered.
- Saturday, April 7, 2012
from 9:30 – Noon.
- Children
ages 3 through 10 (accompanied by an adult) are invited.
- Gather in
the Sonshine Sanctuary for opening.
