Beginning Wednesday, January 4th, at 6 PM, we will have two new offerings for study and spiritual growth:
1) The Busy Family's Guide to Spirituality: Practical Lessons for Modern Living From the Monastic Tradition. Taking concepts from this book, written by David Robinson, Jim Forney will lead the discussion of how to nurture a healthy, happy and holy family life. The family is a small community of faith and this class will be a time to share ideas and practical ways of leading our families on a purposeful, Godly path. Meet in room 214.
2) Mere Christianity. Who's to say what's right or wrong? What is the nature of God? What does it mean to be a Christian? These are just a few of the questions C.S. Lewis answers in what began as broadcast talks given over the BBC during World War II and later published in his widely read book, Mere Christianity. Come, join in the discussion of these big ideas. Led by Gina Wright Hawkins. Meet in room 216.
And continuing from the autumn term,
Revelation, taught by Jane Martin. Have you been reluctant to delve into the last book of the Bible - The Revelation? The book is filled with symbolism and imagery that has caused even the most scholarly to shy away from its teaching. Scholarly I am not. However, I pray that you will join me as we move slowly through this most timely of Scripture writings and learn together what is to come. And, with that comes a promise of blessing - read Revelation 1:3. Meets in the Community room.
