...A practical introduction to and renewal of the Christian Faith

Who is Alpha For?

Alpha is for everyone!  Whether you have never been to church and want to find out what Christianity is all about—or—whether you are a life-long Christian who wants a deeper relationship with Christ, Alpha is for you.  More than 4 million people in over 130 countries have already experienced the Alpha Course.  It’s an excellent way to meet new friends, learn the basics of Christianity, get your questions answered or give your faith a boost.  It is a unique “meet-you-where-you-are” course.  Adults of any age or background can benefit from the relaxed atmosphere and low pressure setting Alpha provides.  Your journey through Alpha is sure to be a rewarding one.

What is the Alpha course like?

An Alpha evening begins with a light meal and fellowship followed by an entertaining video tape presentation on one of a variety of topics such as “Who is Jesus” or “Why and how should I read the Bible.”  After the video, participants get together in small groups to talk about the presentation and discuss any questions it has raised for them.  Confidentiality plays an important part in these conversations and no questions are “too dumb” to ask—or are considered off limits.  It is a time to feel free to ask things that you may never have felt comfortable asking before that time.  It is a relaxed time of learning and fellowship and we will be finished each week by 9:00 at the latest.  Childcare, if needed, is provided free of charge.
